I REFUSED TO DIE
I grew up, only to realize sleeping is next to death.
Everyone with a date, no antidote for death.
As the plants wither, so everyone has to die.
Speechless, voiceless, forsaken because they are dead.
Only immortals can never be referred to as dead.
Like the wave of the ocean, I arose to face my fear;
strengthened to cross the bridge, because life may not be fair.
Determined to become immortal, never to be forsaken.
I can live forever, I don't have to die!
I may not be here, but my words should not die!
My voice has to be strong and loud,
so my words can forever be heard aloud.
As mother Maria Woodworth,
whose life forever is of worth;
I want to live and not die!
